Broken, but Beautiful
The Japanese art of Kintsugi is the use of gold to repair broken items (usually pottery). The idea is that not only is the broken piece now stronger in the places where it was broken, but it's made more beautiful because it was broken. I felt it was an appropriate way to look at/think about trauma. Nothing is broken beyond repair, and we're made more beautiful because of our life experiences.
